Caremongering<\/strong>– (Indian English) The act of aggressively advocating for those who need help most during the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Coronaspeck<\/strong>– (German) Literally \u2018Corona Bacon\u2019. The weight you put on during lockdown.<\/p>\n

Geisterspiel<\/strong>– (German) Ghost Game, a sport played without fans present.<\/p>\n

Gri\u0137i<\/strong> (Latvian)- Panic food, literally \u2018buckwheat\u2019, which is used to treat colds and minor ailments.<\/p>\n

Hamsteren<\/strong>– (Dutch) Panic buying. Stuffing food in like a hamster.<\/p>\n

Magpied<\/strong>– (Australian English) Picked clean, as a store of sanitizer and toilet paper.<\/p>\n

Miley Cyrus<\/strong>– (Cockney Rhyming slang) Corona Virus<\/p>\n

Quarantini<\/strong>– (International English) A drink you make with whatever you can find in your house because you can\u2019t go to the store.<\/p>\n

The Quaz<\/strong>– (Australian, because of course it is)- The quarantine<\/p>\n

On-nomi<\/strong>\u2014 (Japanese) The \u201cnomikai\u201d drinking parties moved to online platforms.<\/p>\n
