It all comes together in context in a lesson about fingerspelling your name.<\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8944\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/language-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2022\/08\/American-Sign-Language-Online-Course-Fingerspelling-GIF.gif\" alt=\"American Sign Language - learn fingerspelling online with Transparent Language\" width=\"582\" height=\"327\" \/><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>Common Signs<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The remaining units focus on the most common, useful signs for beginners, ranging from greetings and conversation basics to numbers and food.<\/p>\n<p>All signs are taught via short video clips so learners can see the language in action. The learning activities encourage both this video input and output, giving learners the opportunity to practice signing on their own.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8943\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/language-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2022\/08\/American-Sign-Language-Online-Course-Common-Signs-GIF.gif\" alt=\"online American Sign Language course in Transparent Language Online\" width=\"578\" height=\"325\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Putting Signs Together<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The second half of the course introduces more ASL syntax.<\/p>\n<p>300+ example sentences show you how to combine signs to communicate more complex ideas based on all of the signs you&#8217;ve learned in the first half.<\/p>\n<p>For example, you learn signs for numbers and foods in units 4 and 8 respectively. In unit 10 you\u2019ll learn to put those signs together to discuss how much food costs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9014 tl-valid-img\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/language-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2023\/04\/ASL-Course-Part-2-GIF.gif\" alt=\"ASL how to sign full sentences\" width=\"568\" height=\"319\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the end of the course, you\u2019ll be able to participate in ASL conversations about common topics: sports, holidays, weather, shopping, and more.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Deaf Culture<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Understanding Deaf culture is a crucial part of learning American Sign Language.
