In turn, libraries expect more from us to help meet their changing needs\u2014and we love that! Their feedback helps us improve. In 2022, public libraries were a primary resource for incoming refugees from Afghanistan, Ukraine, and beyond. Their requests inspired us to create new ESL courses for those populations. We see how hard librarians work to serve their diverse, expanding communities. It\u2019s rewarding to play a small part and have them recognize our hard work too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Transparent Language Online updates that libraries loved in 2022 include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/language-news\/2022\/06\/27\/new-beginner-english-course-for-ukrainian-speakers\/\">English for Ukrainian speakers<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/language-news\/2022\/03\/18\/new-esl-courses-for-dari-and-pashto-speakers\/\">English for Pashto and Dari speakers<\/a><\/li>\n<li>our first <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/language-news\/2022\/09\/22\/new-american-sign-language-course\/\">American Sign Language course<\/a> (more to come in 2023!)<\/li>\n<li>8 new <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/language-news\/2016\/09\/26\/learn-an-indigenous-or-endangered-language-with-transparent-language\/\">indigenous languages courses<\/a>: Cherokee, Deg Xinag, Dinak\u2019i (Upper Kuskokwim), H\u00e4n, Laz, Tanacross, Upper Tanana (Nee\u2019aan\u00e8egn\u2019), and Yup\u2019ik<\/li>\n<li>beginner and intermediate courses for professionals learning Chinese, French, Spanish, and Russian<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To our existing library partners, thank you, merci, gracias, \u8c22\u8c22, and beyond.
