We won a Modern Library Award with Platinum distinction for <\/strong>\u2728the 10th<\/sup> year in a row!<\/strong> \u2728<\/strong><\/p>\nThe\u00a0Modern Library Awards<\/a>\u00a0(MLAs) are like the Grammys, but better because the voters are librarians evaluating the products they provide to their patrons.\u00a0For the 10th<\/sup> time, Transparent Language Online was voted Platinum, the highest honor possible.<\/p>\n Normally voting libraries give feedback about how much their patrons love learning languages with us. But this year we noticed a different theme in the feedback:<\/p>\n \u2728<\/strong> \u201cWe have been with Transparent language for a full year. Our onboarding experience was incredible. <\/strong>Patrons find the interface engaging and intuitive. The support and engagement experience that they provide is stellar.\u201d<\/p>\n \u2728<\/strong> \u201cTransparent Language is very responsive to requests<\/strong> for languages and marketing materials.\u201d<\/p>\n \u2728<\/strong> \u201cThe team at Transparent Language Online continues to be responsive<\/strong> and to maintain a great product at an affordable price.\u201d<\/p>\n Patrons still love the platform. (Yay!) But librarians keep telling us how much they<\/em> love the customer service. Onboarding. Marketing. Staff Training. And beyond.<\/p>\n Our Director of Customer Success, Lauren Gancarz, explains the emphasis on support:<\/p>\n \u201cThe best language learning resource is the one library patrons actually use. Our developers and course creators put a lot of care into making the best possible learning experience. On top of that, we care just as much about helping librarians get to know the platform, spread the word, and have the resources they need to promote it online and in the library.\u201d<\/p>\n So while patrons will encounter lots of new languages and improvements<\/a> this year, librarians have lots of new goodies to explore as well:<\/p>\n So we made it our mission to support librarians who are clearly supporting many English Language Learners (ELLs)!<\/p>\n We interviewed a dozen librarians running successful ESL programs and put their best advice in the free <\/strong>Supporting English Language Learners at Your Library Guide<\/strong><\/a>. <\/strong><\/p>\n Then 250+ librarians joined us for a live panel event<\/a> to learn from their peers about ESL programming, training volunteers, finding English resources, and more.<\/p>\n Librarians serve diverse patrons who speak lots of languages. And we teach lots of languages\u2026 pretty convenient.<\/p>\n A few years ago we launched a self-guided Survival Spanish for Librarians course<\/a> in Transparent Language Online\u2014available free to any and all librarians.<\/p>\n Then in 2024, we made it 3x longer.<\/p>\n And in 2025 we\u2019ll be running a <\/strong>free 4-week Spanish for Librarians classes<\/em><\/strong><\/a> throughout the year.<\/strong> (If you\u2019re interested, get on the waitlist! Spots are limited.)<\/p>\n By popular demand, we added another language to the librarian collection: ASL! Librarians can now access the 15-hour self-guided ASL for Librarians Course<\/a> in Transparent Language Online as well.<\/p>\n That\u2019s a lot to keep up with. ?
