There are lots of Youtube videos of Pig Latin, including this humorous song in Pig Latin:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Pig Latin Song\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/j2orqdF58CA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s also Dog Latin, which is basically an imitation of Latin. To those who don&#8217;t know Latin, Dog Latin can seem like the real thing, but of course, we know better! My favorite phrase in Dog Latin is : <strong>Illegitimi non carborundum, <\/strong>which is supposed to mean, &#8220;Don&#8217;t Let the Bastards Wear You Down&#8221;, a phrase some Harvard students have known to have used. The correct phrase would be something like : <strong>Operor non permissum nothus homo frendo vos solum<\/strong>. However this phrase in literal English would mean, &#8220;Do not let those without fathers grind you downwards&#8221;, which has sexual implications that mean otherwise.
