So, for this week’s post- I would like to challenge all my readers to make a drastic change to their Facebook accounts. Are you game?<\/p>\n

Use Latin on Facebook! Like a Boss!<\/p><\/div>\n

This challenge is to change the language setting on your Facebook to Latin or lingua latina<\/em>.\u00a0 Don’t worry only the Facebook language will change! Your friend’s posts, messages, events, shares, and likes will still be in your original language. I will provide the steps on how to change your language and change it back. I will also give some basic vocabulary to assist in you in using your Facebook.<\/p>\n

So, how long do you think you can last with Latin all over your Facebook?*How many new phrases will you pick up? Do you think it will help with learning the language? I will be changing my language to Latin for a week! Will you join me?<\/p>\n

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR LANGUAGE:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. At the top of your Facebook bar, it will read Your Name, Home, friends icon, message icon, notifications icon, a lock icon, and then a downwards triangle.<\/li>\n
  2. Click on the downwards triangle.<\/li>\n
  3. Select Settings<\/li>\n
  4. Under General Settings,\u00a0edit languages, and then select “lingua latina.”<\/li>\n
  5. Save Changes<\/li>\n
  6. Behold! You are now a Latinist!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    CHANGES:<\/span><\/p>\n

    The most immediate change will be on the Settings page that you are still on. Most changes will be obvious because they look very similar to their original forms.<\/p>\n

    Generales (General),Securitas (Security),Privitas<\/em> (Privacy), Applicationes (Applications)<\/em> and so on.<\/p>\n

    OR, most changes will have obvious meaning to you since you are so familiar to Facebook’s layout.<\/p>\n
