But, I bet you didn&#8217;t know that some of your favorite video games&#8230;actually have Latin in them! Here is an awesome basic video that shows some of the more popular instances, but some of which I explain more in depth later on.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/KHpqCgYCrGc\">http:\/\/youtu.be\/KHpqCgYCrGc<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>POKEMON<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Pok\u00e9mon (or Pocket Monsters) at little creatures trainers duel with in order to win gym badges and defeat evil. There has been plenty of discussion about this facet of the game, but it\u00a0 assumed that the creatures are simply not copyrighted and thus can be used.\u00a0 The latest monster addition is of the mythical monster Scylla (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo.php?fbid=10152512101205871&amp;set=a.10152512101130871.1073741869.116214575870&amp;type=1&amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>). However, the Latin within this game can be directly seen within\u00a0some of the\u00a0villain&#8217;s names.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn Main Villains\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xEPlBrK9DHo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Gaius Van Baelsar\u00a0(Legatus of the XIVth legion and overseer of the occupation of Ala Mhigo)- Gauis is a very popular first name amongst Roman men.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Nero Tol Scaeva\u00a0(Members of the XIVth legion)- Nero was the popular <em>nomen\u00a0<\/em>(Latin for name) for the Emperor Nero. <em>Scaeva<\/em> means a left handed person, and fittingly all\u00a0his cut scene picture him\u00a0using his left hand primarily.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u00a0Livia Sas Junius\u00a0(Members of the XIVth legion)- Livia is a popular name amongst Roman women, but most notably the name of Emperor Augustus&#8217; second wife.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Solus Zos Galvus\u00a0 (First Emperor of Garlemald)- <em>Solus<\/em>\u00a0 means alone or\u00a0only in Latin. This may refer to the fact that Solus is the emperor and the only one with power.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>GAMES IN LATIN<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Do you like video games? Do you want to play one that is completely in Latin? However, one particular game that I played growing up was the city-building game known as Caesar I-III.
