{"id":181,"date":"2009-12-30T22:51:32","date_gmt":"2009-12-31T02:51:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/?p=181"},"modified":"2009-12-30T22:51:32","modified_gmt":"2009-12-31T02:51:32","slug":"dette-tiaret","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/dette-tiaret\/","title":{"rendered":"Dette ti\u00e5ret"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This decade.\u00a0 Aftenposten online has featured 10 significant events that occurred in Norway during the years of 2000-2009.\u00a0 I consider it an interesting <strong>liste<\/strong> because it really speaks to the size of Norway.\u00a0 Some of the significant events would just be\u00a0a blip on the radar for\u00a0<strong>et land<\/strong>\u00a0(a country) \u00a0the size of the U.S.\u00a0 I do not mean to downplay any of the events <strong>p\u00e5 lista<\/strong> (on the list) and the significance of any of them, I merely think it is interesting to see what a country of Norway&#8217;s physical size highlights as significant events in <strong>et ti\u00e5r.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I suppose now you would like to see <strong>listen<\/strong> (the list).\u00a0 It was compiled by Aftenpostens <strong>\u00f8konomiredakt\u00f8r<\/strong> (economisc editor).\u00a0 <strong>V\u00e6r s\u00e5 god!<\/strong>\u00a0 (Here you go)!<\/p>\n<p>2000-<strong>\u00c5ste-ulykken<\/strong> (accident):\u00a0 A train from Hamar heading north collided with a cargo train from Trondheim heading south, killing 19 people.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>2001-<strong>To bryllup og fem f\u00f8dsler<\/strong> (2 weddings and 5 births):\u00a0 Kronprins Haakon and Mette-Marit got married.\u00a0 Kronprinsesse M\u00e4rtha Louise and Ari Behn were married also.\u00a0 <strong>Kongeparet<\/strong> (the Royal couple) have since become <strong>besteforeldrer til 5 barnebarn<\/strong> (grandparents to 5 grandchildren).<\/p>\n<p>2002-<strong>Reiserevolusjon<\/strong> (travel revolution):\u00a0 The Norwegian airline created low price domestic flights.<\/p>\n<p>2004-<strong>Rocknes<\/strong>&#8211;<strong>ulykken<\/strong> (accident): The Rocknes cargo ship capsized in Vatlastraumen in Hordaland county, killing 18 people, and spilling several tons of <strong>olje<\/strong> (oil).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>2004-<strong>Norske soldater d\u00f8r i tjeneste<\/strong> (Norwegian soldiers die in service):\u00a0 4 soldiers were killed in Afghanistan after the U.S. invasion.<\/p>\n<p>2004-<strong>R\u00f8ykeloven<\/strong> (Smoking law):\u00a0 Smoking was banned in all public places including restaurants, bars, nightclubs, offices, and public transportation.<\/p>\n<p>2006-<strong>Ras og refs i Tunnel-Norge<\/strong> (&#8230;.in tunnel-Norway):\u00a0 Part of the roof of the Hanekleivtunnel-a\u00a0road tunnel in\u00a0Vestfold, Norway collapsed, spurring investigation that revealed several other road tunnels with inadequate infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>2008-<strong>Sn\u00f8hetta nytt turm\u00e5l midt i Oslo<\/strong> (Sn\u00f8hetta new trip destination in the middle of Oslo):\u00a0 Sn\u00f8hetta, an architectural firm, won the bid to build the new opera house in Oslo.<\/p>\n<p>2009-<strong>Internasjonal finanskrise, norsk rikdom<\/strong> (international financial crisis, Norwegian riches):\u00a0 the state pension fund has increased 10-fold since it&#8217;s beginning.<\/p>\n<p>2009-<strong>Tungoljekatastrofe i Oslofjorden<\/strong> (Crude oil catastrophe in the Oslo Fjord):\u00a0 During a storm, cargo ship &#8221;Full City&#8221;
