{"id":199,"date":"2010-02-17T10:27:38","date_gmt":"2010-02-17T14:27:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/?p=199"},"modified":"2010-02-17T10:27:38","modified_gmt":"2010-02-17T14:27:38","slug":"1994-winter-olympics-in-lillehammer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/1994-winter-olympics-in-lillehammer\/","title":{"rendered":"1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Da jeg bes\u00f8kte Norge en gang<\/strong>, (when I visited Norway one time),\u00a0<strong>reiste jeg\u00a0med tog<\/strong> (I traveled by train) <strong>til\u00a0Lillehammer<\/strong>.\u00a0 I was shocked that this small town hosted the Olympics!\u00a0 In 2009, the population census counted just over 26,000 people.\u00a0 The Olympics must have generated enough tourist revenue for decades!\u00a0 Lillehammer&#8217;s winning bid was made public at the 1988 summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea.\u00a0 Lillehammer was selected over Anchorage, Alaska;
