Did you know that\u00a0the famous \u201csynthpop\/rock\u201d band\u00a0is Norwegian?\u00a0 I didn\u2019t know this for a long time.\u00a0 a-ha is Norway\u2019s best selling musical artist ever and they are going on a special tour in August and September around Norway before they go on to perform their last konserter<\/strong> (concerts) at Oslo Spektrum in December-unfortunately these are already utsolgt<\/strong> (sold out).\u00a0 There are 6 konserter<\/strong> coming up in late summer and here are their venues:<\/p>\n

-Ullev\u00e5l stadion-Oslo<\/strong><\/p>\n

-Brann stadion-Bergen<\/strong><\/p>\n

-Lerkendal stadion-Trondheim<\/strong><\/p>\n

-S\u00f8r Arena-Kristiansand<\/strong><\/p>\n

-R\u00e5tt og R\u00e5defestivalen-Stavnger<\/strong><\/p>\n

-D\u00f8gnvillfestivalen-Troms\u00f8<\/strong><\/p>\n

These 6 concerts, as far as I know at least, are ikke utsolgt (not sold out).\u00a0 Billettsalget begynner 3. mars klokka 0900 og slutter l\u00f8rdag 6. mars kl. 1800<\/strong> (The ticket sale starts March 3rd at 9 a.m. and ends Saturday March 6th at 6 p.m.).\u00a0 Billetter koster 595 NOK<\/strong> (Tickets cost 100 USD), unless you have A-kortet<\/strong> (A-card), which is available to individuals who have an abonnement<\/strong> (subscription) to Aftenposten.\u00a0\u00a0Med<\/strong> A-kortet<\/strong> er prisen 495 NOK <\/strong>(With the A-card the price is 83 USD).\u00a0 Just an FYI in case you are thinking about purchasing en billett, prisene er eks. billettavgift<\/strong> (the prices are excluding ticket taxes).\u00a0<\/p>\n

In addition to the announcement about the tour dates and locations late summer, a-ha has recently announced that the band will give 4 millioner NOK<\/strong> (over 673,000 USD) to 4 ferske artister <\/strong>(4 up-coming artists) during the last 4 stadium shows in Norway.\u00a0 Magne Furuholmen, one of the artister<\/strong> in the band, spoke on behalf of a-ha when he said that\u00a0a-ha has had a spectacular career that mange st\u00f8ttet<\/strong> (many supported); these monetary gifts to young Norwegian bands is a way that a-ha can give back to the music community.<\/p>\n

In addition to the konserter<\/strong> in Norway this summer and fall, a-ha will also make appearances in Toronto, ON (May 10) and Chicago, IL (May 13).\u00a0 Also, in late fall, a-ha will perform in England, Scotland, and Wales.\u00a0<\/p>\n
