Well, it\u2019s certainly true that <b>mange nordmenn elsker friluftsliv<\/b> (many Norwegians love outdoor life). And people in Norway often joke about being <b>f\u00f8dt med ski p\u00e5 beina<\/b> [furt meh shee paw BYEnah] (born with skis on their legs). But sometimes, especially when it\u2019s <b>h\u00f8st<\/b> (autumn) and cold outside (and no snow yet, mind you!), even serious athletes like <b>\u00e5 kose seg<\/b> (to cozy up, to enjoy oneself) indoors.<\/p>\n<p><b>Kos<\/b> (coziness) is a nice little word. You can attach it to almost any other noun to describe a social setting where you\u2019re relaxing and having a good time with <b>vennene dine<\/b> (your friends) or <b>familien din<\/b> (your family). <b>Peiskos<\/b> means enjoying life in front of a <b>peis <\/b>(open fireplace). A pleasant barbecue session can be described as <b>grillkos<\/b> \u2013 and so on! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><b>Kos <\/b>can be turned into the adjective <b>koselig<\/b> (cozy, nice). If you\u2019re the expressive kind of person and your friends and you are enjoying some <b>tv-kos<\/b> (\u201dtelevision coziness\u201d) with a <b>spennende tv-serie<\/b> (exciting tv serial) and a bowl of <b>snop<\/b> (candy) and some glasses of <b>brus<\/b> (lemonade), you may exclaim: <b>\u00c5, s\u00e5 koselig!<\/b> (Oh, how cozy [it is]!)<\/p>\n<p><b>Det er veldig koselig p\u00e5 <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/huts-of-norway\/\">hytta<\/a><\/b> (it\u2019s very cozy in the cabin). Especially when it is dark and rainy outside and you can light some candles, <b>drikke en kaffet\u00e5r <\/b>(take a sip of coffee), <b>lese ei god bok<\/b> (read a good book), <b>legge kabal<\/b> (play solitaire) or <b>spille kort<\/b> (play cards).
