Nobody really complains about <b>de h\u00f8ye l\u00f8nningene<\/b> (the high wages), though, so I guess there\u2019s some kind of balance. \ud83d\ude42 Still, if you come as a tourist, be prepared for surprises! Here are some expressions for talking about prices and payment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>dyr, billig<\/b> (expensive, cheap)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>pris<\/b> (price)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>penger<\/b> (moneys \u2013 yes, it\u2019s a plural word in Norwegian\u2026)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>tilbud<\/b> (offer)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Hvor mye koster trollet?<\/b> (How much does the troll cost?)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Det koster femti kroner.<\/b> (It costs fifty Kroner.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Det er litt dyrt, synes jeg.<\/b> (It\u2019s a little bit expensive, I think.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Det er dessverre altfor dyrt.<\/b> (Unfortunately, it\u2019s far too expensive.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Jeg bare lurte p\u00e5\u2026 Har dere noe billigere?<\/b> (I was just wondering\u2026 Have you got something cheaper?)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Ja, reinsdyret er til halv pris.<\/b> (Yes, the reindeer is 50% off\u2026)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Kjempebillig!<\/b> (Super cheap!)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Har dere andre varer p\u00e5 tilbud?<\/b> (Have you got other items on offer?)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Kan vi f\u00e5 regningen? <\/b>(Could we get the bill, [please].)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Fem hundre kroner?? Couldn\u2019t we say three hundred instead?)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Beklager, vi pruter ikke med prisen.<\/b> (Sorry, we don\u2019t bargain [with the price].)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>I Norge er det faste priser.<\/b> (In Norway there are fixed prices.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Men vi blir veldig glade for litt drikkepenger!<\/b> (But some tip [&#8220;drinking-money&#8221;] would make us really happy!)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Hvor mye blir det? <\/b>(How much is it?)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Det blir 235, takk. <\/b>(It\u2019s 235, please.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Tar dere MasterCard? <\/b>(Do you take MasterCard?)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Ja, det g\u00e5r veldig bra<\/b>.
