For most <b>nordmenn<\/b> (Norwegians), that means <b>ferie<\/b> (vacation). Fortunately, in a diverse country like <b>Norge<\/b>, there\u2019s always a lot to do \u2013 especially when <b>sola skinner<\/b> (the sun is shining)! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Liker du \u00e5 bade? <\/b>(Do you like bathing?) <b>Finn fram badet\u00f8y og h\u00e5ndkle<\/b> (find your bathing clothes and towel) and join your friends <b>p\u00e5 stranda<\/b> (at the beach). Norway is full of <b>fjorder<\/b> and <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/say-hello-to-norways-nessie\/\"><b>innsj\u00f8er<\/b><\/a> (lakes), which gives a lot of opportunities to swim (<b>\u00e5 sv\u00f8mme<\/b>). The water temperature can reach surprising heights in the country, but of course there\u2019s also places such as snow-fed <b>fjellsj\u00f8er<\/b> (mountain lakes) that stay cold most of the year\u2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Mange nordmenn er glade i b\u00e5t<\/b> (many Norwegians like boat[ing]). If you don\u2019t have your own <b>b\u00e5t <\/b>[bawt], try to chat a bit with the happy people at <b>bryggen<\/b> (the quay). With a bit of luck, maybe they\u2019ll let you <b>bli med en tur<\/b> (join for a [small voyage)? Be ware that <b>sola<\/b> (the sun) blinking from the fjord\u2019s silver surface can get really intense, so <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/going-on-holiday\/\">make sure to wear<\/a> <b>solbriller<\/b> and lots of <b>solkrem<\/b> (sunscreen).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Turer i skog og mark<\/b> (nature walking trips, literally \u201dtrips in wood and field\u201d) are always a possibility. <b>Husk \u00e5 ta med rikelig med vann <\/b>(remember to bring plenty of water), especially if you\u2019re planning to scale one of those steep and sunkissed <b>fjellsider<\/b> (<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/fjellvettreglene\/\">mountain<\/a> slopes)!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Perhaps after all the activities you now feel really <b>svett<\/b> (sweaty) and really just want to <b>slappe av i skyggen<\/b> (relax in the shadow). In a city there\u2019s lots of things to watch and listen to (for example <b>utend\u00f8rskonserter<\/b> \u2013 open-air concerts).
