Add a lot of <strong>fjorder og fjell <\/strong>(fjords and mountains), and it\u2019s easy to see how Norwegians can have a hard time getting around. \ud83d\ude42 Fortunately, there are many ways to criss-cross the country\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Du kan g\u00e5.<\/strong> (You can walk.) Even in cities like Bergen I\u2019ve found it easy <strong>\u00e5 reise til fots<\/strong> (to travel by foot) \u2013 especially <strong>om sommeren<\/strong> (in summer) when <strong>v\u00e6ret er fint<\/strong> (the weather is nice). If you travel <strong>p\u00e5 fjellet<\/strong> (in the mountains), check out all the nice <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dnt.no\/hytter\/\"><strong>hytter<\/strong><\/a> (huts) where you can spend the night.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Du kan haike.<\/strong> (You can hitchhike.) As far as I know, Norway is a relatively safe place for hitchhikers, and most Norwegians are <strong>vennlig<\/strong> (friendly) and <strong>h\u00f8flig<\/strong> (polite). A girl who\u2019d hitchhiked in Norway told me she hadn\u2019t had any problems. Still, of course, you should <strong>ta dine forholdsregler<\/strong> (take your precautions). If you\u2019re the driver, brace yourself for <strong>dyr bensin<\/strong> \u2013 expensive petrol.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Du kan reise med offentlig transport.<\/strong> (You can travel with public transport.) <strong>Busser<\/strong> (busses) are usually efficient, on time and not too expensive. \ud83d\ude42 Between many cities and bigger towns you can also <strong>ta toget<\/strong> (take the train), which is run by the national company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsb.no\/\"><strong>NSB<\/strong><\/a>. If beautiful scenery is your thing, I can recommend travelling by <strong>hurtigb\u00e5t<\/strong> (high-speed craft) in one of the fjord areas\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Du kan fly.<\/strong> (You can fly = take the plane.) Especially people who live in <strong>Nord-Norge<\/strong> (Northern Norway) rely a lot on <strong>fly <\/strong>(airplanes), since for example the capital is waaay down south\u2026 <strong>Det er mange flyplasser i Norge <\/strong>(there are many <a href=\"https:\/\/ndla.no\/nb\/node\/101233\">airports<\/a> in Norway), which lets you easily travel <strong>innenriks<\/strong> (\u201ddomestically\u201d) from <strong>Kristiansand <\/strong>to <strong>Troms\u00f8<\/strong>.
