Like many other places in Europe, <strong>Norge<\/strong> has also been recently hit by a <strong>heteb\u00f8lge<\/strong> (heat wave). Here&#8217;s a tiny survival guide for the next time <strong>termometeret viser over 30 grader<\/strong> (the thermometer shows more than 30 \u00b0C).<\/p>\n<p><b>Husk \u00e5 drikke mye vann!<\/b> (Remember to drink lots of water!) As a rule, water in Norway is very clean, and you can safely <b>drikke rett fra springen <\/b>(drink directly from the tap). But do check the water source when you&#8217;re <b>p\u00e5 fjellet<\/b> (up in the mountains)! I&#8217;ve heard about people who got very ill after they drank from a brook where a dead sheep was lying rotting a bit further up&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><b>Ikke undervurder sola!<\/b> (Don&#8217;t underestimate the sun!) In Norway, which is closer to the North Pole&#8217;s thin ozone layer than your average country, <b>solstr\u00e5lene<\/b> (the sunbeams) may actually scorch you more than in Italy&#8230; <b>P\u00e5 <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/a-love-letter-to-hoyfjellet\/\">h\u00f8yfjellet <\/a><\/b>(high up in the mountains) the sun is particularly bossy \u2013 beware of reflections from glaciers and other specks of snow! \ud83d\ude42 <b>Solbriller og solkrem faktor 30 er en god id\u00e9.<\/b> (Sunglasses and sunscreen w. factor 30 is a good idea.)<\/p>\n<p><b>Nyt vannet. <\/b>(Enjoy the water.) <b>Ferienorge<\/b> (&#8220;holiday Norway&#8221;) means <b>bading<\/b> (bathing) and <b>b\u00e5tliv<\/b> (boat life) to a lot of people.
