Of course, this is caused by the worldwide pandemic, which makes people stay hjemme<\/strong> [yemmeh] (at home). Let\u2019s get our heads out of that cabin! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

No matter if you\u2019re a latsabb<\/strong> (slacker) or a sportsfrik<\/strong> (sports freak), just staying innenfor husets fire vegger<\/strong> (within the four walls of the house) 24\/7 may gj\u00f8re deg spr\u00f8<\/strong> (drive you nuts, literally \u201dmake you crunchy\u201d)! Maybe you kjeder deg<\/strong> (feel bored), f\u00f8ler deg frustrert<\/strong> (feel frustrated) or savner familie og venner<\/strong> (miss family and friends)\u2026<\/p>\n

You\u2019re probably just as knowledgeable about this as me, but as I\u2019ve got to understand<\/a>, one of the best tricks to combat isolasjon<\/strong> [eesohlaSHOHN] is creating rutiner <\/strong>(routines) for yourself \u2013 and of course to talk as much as possible with andre folk <\/strong> (other people) online and through the window. Here\u2019s a routine for you: Every morning at 10 AM, study Norwegian for 1 hour! \ud83d\ude42 And then, every evening, revise what you\u2019ve learnt.<\/p>\n

Here are a few other aktiviteter<\/strong> to stop life from being too ensformig<\/strong> (monotonous) i denne koronatid<\/strong> (in this corona period):<\/p>\n

\u2022 g\u00e5 en tur i skog og mark<\/strong> (go for a walk in \u201dforest and field\u201d = the wilderness). In Norway, the lockdown doesn\u2019t mean that you can\u2019t go hiking. In a country full of \u00f8de fjell<\/strong> (desolate mountains), maintaining sosial avstand<\/strong> (social distancing) is a breeze. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\u2022 f\u00e5 deg en hobby <\/strong>(get yourself a hobby). Now is the time to learn rosemaling<\/strong> (traditional Norwegian flower painting), order a huge puslespill<\/strong> (puzzle) of your family and pets, write your exciting cosmic memoirs or test all oppskriftene<\/strong> (the recipes) you\u2019ve got in your kitchen\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2022 se norsk TV<\/strong> [teh-veh] (watch Norwegian television). Streaming services have become so popular in the country that the English word was Norwegianised<\/a> \u2013 str\u00f8mmetjenester<\/strong>. Lots of popular serier<\/strong> (series) are being made in Norway these days, for example the short F\u00f8rstegangstjenesten<\/strong> (First-Time [Military] Service), available here<\/a>.
