\u00a0<em><strong>Tine<\/strong><\/em>, one of the 12 agricultural cooperatives in Norway, nearly has a monopoly over the <strong>meieri <\/strong>industry. \u00a0The majority of <strong>meieri produkter <\/strong>you find in Norwegian <strong>matbutikker <\/strong>(grocery stores) are made by <em><strong>Tine. \u00a0Tine<\/strong><\/em> has a number of subsidiaries as well, including Diplom-Is (Scandinavia\u00b4s largest producer of ice cream),<strong> Norseland Inc. <\/strong>(distributes cheeses in Canada and the U.S.),<strong> Fjordland<\/strong> (readymade food company),<strong> FellesJuice<\/strong> (juice and soft drinks), <strong>OsteCompagniet<\/strong> (cheese), <strong>Maritex<\/strong> (fish oil products), <strong>Salmon Brands<\/strong>, \u00a0and several more.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>See <em><strong>Tine\u00b4s<\/strong><\/em> website to see a complete list of <em><strong>Tine<\/strong><\/em><strong> produkter <\/strong>including the aforementioned <strong>produkter<\/strong>, as well as <strong>r\u00f8mme<\/strong> (sour cream), <strong>fl\u00f8te <\/strong>(cream-like heavy cream),<strong> sm\u00f8r <\/strong>(butter), <strong>deiger <\/strong>(doughs) <strong>desserter<\/strong>, and <strong>drikker.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Luckily for <em><strong>Tine<\/strong><\/em>, Norway did not enter the E.U. \u00a0Had Norway joined the E.U.<em><strong>, Tine <\/strong><\/em>would have had a lot of international competition in the dairy market in Norway. \u00a0Out of all of the <strong>meieri <\/strong>brands I have tried, <em><strong>Tine <\/strong><\/em>is definitely my favorite. \u00a0I always really look forward to eating a lot of <strong>meieri<\/strong> when I go to Norway and I always get disappointed when I come home and I can\u00b4t get <strong><em>Tine<\/em><\/strong> products. \u00a0I think my favorite <strong>meieri <\/strong>product in Norway is <em><strong>Tine<\/strong><\/em> yogurt. \u00a0The yogurt is so much better than any yogurt I\u00b4ve been able to find here in the U.S. \u00a0<strong><em>Tine<\/em><\/strong> yogurt is sooooo creamy and good.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"TINE YOGURT\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/B3q2mOM0qv4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Tine<\/em><\/strong> owns <strong>Jarlsberg<\/strong> (one of my very favorite cheeses, made in <em>Jarlsberg<\/em>, Norway),<strong> Norvegia <\/strong>(a mild, white cheese), <em>Biola<\/em> (a cultured yogurt drink that is super sour), <strong>Piano <\/strong>(a brand that makes desserts), and more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<img width=\"350\" height=\"263\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2010\/11\/Jarlsberg_cheese-350x263.jpg\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail size-post-thumbnail wp-post-image tmp-hide-img\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2010\/11\/Jarlsberg_cheese-350x263.jpg 350w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2010\/11\/Jarlsberg_cheese-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2010\/11\/Jarlsberg_cheese-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><p>Norwegian meieri (dairy) is amazing. \u00a0The ost (cheese), yogurt, melk (milk), egg&#8211;the whole bit-utrolig godt (unbelieveably good)!!
