{"id":66,"date":"2009-03-22T16:48:00","date_gmt":"2009-03-22T20:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/?p=66"},"modified":"2009-03-22T16:48:00","modified_gmt":"2009-03-22T20:48:00","slug":"spring-fever","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/spring-fever\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring fever"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2009\/06\/img_0039.jpg\" aria-label=\"Img 0039\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-102\"  alt=\"grilling in springtime \" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2009\/06\/img_0039.jpg\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2009\/06\/img_0039.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2009\/06\/img_0039-350x263.jpg 350w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2009\/06\/img_0039-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2009\/06\/img_0039-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>V\u00e5rfeber er her! <\/strong>Spring fever is here!\u00a0 At least for me.\u00a0 This weekend has been gorgeous.\u00a0 <strong>Det regnet hele dagen p\u00e5 fredag. <\/strong>It rained the whole day on Friday, so it&#8217;s been really nice to see <strong>sola denne helgen <\/strong>(the sun this weekend)!\u00a0 <strong>N\u00e5 bl\u00e5ser det mye <\/strong>(now it&#8217;s blowing a lot\/it&#8217;s very windy), <strong>men temperaturen er perfekt <\/strong>(but the temperature is perfect).\u00a0 <strong>I g\u00e5r gikk vi p\u00e5 tur i skogen med hunden <\/strong>(Yesterday we walked in the woods with the dog).\u00a0 Did you notice the inversion in that sentence?\u00a0 Normally we would say &#8216;<strong>Vi g\u00e5r p\u00e5 tur&#8230; <\/strong>but because we have an adverbial phrase (<strong>i g\u00e5r<\/strong>), we rearrange the sentence structure so that the adverbial phrase comes first and the verb comes before the subject.\u00a0 Anyways&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>What kinds of things are fun to do when <strong>v\u00e5r <\/strong>comes?<\/p>\n<p>As I said before, <strong>ta hunden ut i skogen og g\u00e5 p\u00e5 tur <\/strong>(take the dog out in\u00a0 the forest and go for a walk),<\/p>\n<p><strong>jobbe i hagen <\/strong>(work in the yard) doing things like&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>samle ved for \u00e5 brenne <\/strong>(gather wood to burn),<\/p>\n<p><strong>klippe gresset <\/strong>(cut the grass\/mow),<\/p>\n<p><strong>plante blomster <\/strong>(plant flowers),<\/p>\n<p><strong>rydde huset og\u00a0 hagen <\/strong>(rid the house and the yard) of things we don&#8217;t use anymore,<\/p>\n<p><strong>sitte i sola og lese? <\/strong>(sit in the sun and read?),<\/p>\n<p><strong>og grille<\/strong> (and grill)!<\/p>\n<p><strong>V\u00e5r\u00a0betyr at sommeren kommer <\/strong>(spring means that summer is coming) and <strong>vinteren er borte <\/strong>(winter is gone) <strong>til neste \u00e5r <\/strong>(til next year).\u00a0 For those of us that live in the northern latitudes, it also means that <strong>mange ting blir levende igjen <\/strong>(many things become living again) and <strong>dyrene slutter \u00e5 gjemme seg selv <\/strong>(animals stop hiding themselves).<\/p>\n<p>I absolutely love <strong>v\u00e5ren <\/strong>(the spring) because I become myself again after a long <strong>vinter <\/strong>and everyone comes outside.\u00a0 The first few nice days are always a bit bizarre because I think to myself, where did all of these people come from?\u00a0 The truth is they have all just been cozied up inside!<\/p>\n<p>The best part about <strong>v\u00e5r <\/strong>in my opinion is the <strong>frisk luft <\/strong>(fresh air).\u00a0 <strong>V\u00e5r <\/strong>has it&#8217;s own scent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Liker dere v\u00e5ren? <\/strong>(Do you (pl.) like\u00a0spring?)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<img width=\"350\" height=\"263\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2009\/06\/img_0039-350x263.jpg\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail size-post-thumbnail wp-post-image tmp-hide-img\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2009\/06\/img_0039-350x263.jpg 350w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2009\/06\/img_0039-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2009\/06\/img_0039-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/norwegian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2009\/06\/img_0039.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><p>V\u00e5rfeber er her!
