Camping is very popular in Poland and there are a lot of camping sites (kempingi<\/strong>) there. It really can be a lot of fun and it is pretty much the same as camping in the States.<\/p>\n

Camping sites in Poland are situated on lakes (nad jeziorami<\/strong>), rivers (nad rzekami<\/strong>), in the mountains (w g\u00f3rach<\/strong>), at the sea (nad morzem<\/strong>) or in the vicinity of big cities (w pobli\u017cu du\u017cych miast<\/strong>). They are usually well equipped (dobrze wyposa\u017cone<\/strong>). Most of them have electricity (elektryczno\u015b\u0107<\/strong>), sanitation (urz\u0105dzenia sanitarne<\/strong>), bath (\u0142azienka<\/strong>) and showers (prysznic<\/strong>). They are divided (podzielone<\/strong>) into categories (kategorie<\/strong>) according to (wed\u0142ug<\/strong>) national standards (standardy narodowe<\/strong>). Therefore you can spend your vacation at a cheap camp or at a more expensive one. And a cheap campsite does not mean a bad one.<\/p>\n

While camping, you have to obey (przestrzega\u0107<\/strong>) certain rules (regu\u0142y, zasady)<\/strong>). First you have to register on arrival (zameldowa\u0107 si\u0119 po przybyciu<\/strong>) and submit your documents (przed\u0142o\u017cy\u0107, pokaza\u0107 dokumenty<\/strong>). When the registration formalities (formalnosci meldunkowe<\/strong>) are over, you can put up your tent (roz\u0142o\u017cy\u0107 namiot<\/strong>) following the instructions (instrukcje<\/strong>) of the camping administration (administracja, zarz\u0105d kempingu<\/strong>). Most of all, you should keep all the camping facilities clean and in order. For security reasons (ze wzgl\u0119d\u00f3w<\/strong> bezpiecze\u0144stwa<\/strong>) camp fires must be kept under control (pod kontrol\u0105<\/strong>). You should also consider other tourists (tury\u015bci<\/strong>) and avoid making a lot of noise (unika\u0107 robienia ha\u0142asu<\/strong>). And if you have guests, they may have to leave the campsite due to curfew hours (godziny nocne<\/strong>). Of course you can also camp out if you are hiking in the forest. If you decide to set up a campsite for the night and rest, you should just remember to do it about 70 meters off the trails and from any water source.<\/p>\n

If you plan to spend your vacation at a campsite you should have some necessary equipment:<\/p>\n

Camping furniture \u2013 meble kempingowe<\/strong><\/p>\n

Compass – kompas<\/strong><\/p>\n

Matches \u2013 zapa\u0142ki<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maps \u2013 mapy<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bug spray \u2013 spray przeciwko insektom<\/strong><\/p>\n

Extra layers of clothing \u2013 dodatkowe warstwy ubra\u0144<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gas stove \u2013 kuchenka na gaz<\/strong><\/p>\n

Flashlight \u2013 batarejka, latarka<\/strong><\/p>\n

Utensils – sztu\u0107ce<\/strong><\/p>\n

Water filter \u2013 filtr wodny<\/strong><\/p>\n
