And don\u2019t forget the camera, because views are amazing!<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/polish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2011\/03\/VI-21.jpg\" aria-label=\"VI 21 300x216\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1559\"  alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"216\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/polish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2011\/03\/VI-21-300x216.jpg\"><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Now let me give you some details about this place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><strong>Five Ponds Valley<\/strong> is a branch of Dolina Bia\u0142ki (Bialka Valley), upper level of Dolina Roztoki (Roztoki Valley) separated by \u015aciana Stawiarska \u2013 a high rock wall.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">It\u2019s an alpine postglacial valley with the area of 6.5 km<sup>2<\/sup>, 4 km long at the height of 1625 to 1900 m. In the valley, a glacier\u00a0grooved a spacious bottom in the shape of a sickle with its ends pointing at north-west and south-east.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Total area of the lakes in the valley amounts to 61 ha, and they are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\"><strong>Wielki Staw Polski (Great Polish Pond)<\/strong> \u2013 situated at 1665 m. with the area of 34.14 ha and depth of 79.3\u00a0m. It is situated between the massifs of <em>Miedziane (Copper Peak)<\/em> and <em>Kozi Wierch (Goat Peak)<\/em>, in the hole at the bottom of the glacial cirque. It outflows to <em>Roztoka Stream<\/em>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\"><strong>Zadni Staw Polski (Back Polish Pond)<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\"><strong>Czarny Staw Polski (Black Polish Pond)<\/strong> \u2013 situated at 1772 m. with the area of 13 ha and maximum depth of 50\u00a0m. It is situated in the upper part of the Valley, below the walls of <em>Liptowskie Granie (Liptowskie Ridges)<\/em>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\"><strong>Ma\u0142y Staw Polski (Small Polish Pond)<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\"><strong>Przedni Staw Polski (Front Polish Pond)<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\"><strong>Wole Oko<\/strong> <strong>(Bull\u2019s Eye)<\/strong> \u2013 as this is a periodic pond, much lower than others \u2013 the name of the valley includes only five ponds.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/polish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2011\/03\/245_069BW.jpg\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/polish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2011\/03\/245_069BW1.jpg\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/polish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2011\/03\/245_069BW2.jpg\" aria-label=\"245 069BW2 300x208\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1562\"  alt=\"\" width=\"342\" height=\"225\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/polish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2011\/03\/245_069BW2-300x208.jpg\"><\/a>At Przedni Staw Polski, at 1671 m., there is the highest hostel in the Polish Tatras &#8211; PTTK (Polish Tourist Country Lovers&#8217; Society) hostel named after Leopold \u015awierz.<\/span> (picture on the left).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">The valley is surrounded by high peaks and ridges:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\">The main ridge of the Tatras from Mount \u015awinica (2301 m.), through Walentkowa Gran (Walentkowa Ridge \u2013 2156 m.) to G\u0142adki Wierch (Smooth Peak \u2013 2065 m)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\">Liptowskie Mury (Liptowskie Walls) to Szpiglasowy Wierch (Szpiglasowy Peak \u2013 2172 m.) and further through the ridge of Miedziane (Copper Peak \u2013 2233 m.) to Opalony Wierch (Burnt Peak \u2013 2115 m.), where it borders on Dolina Rybiego Potoku (Fish Stream Valley).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\">From Opalony Wierch there is a side branch with \u015awistowa Czuba (1764\u00a0m.) and \u015aciana Stawiarska (Stawiarska Wall) with the Siklawa Waterfall.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\">The ridge of Or\u0142a Perc (Eagle\u2019s Path) \u2013 from Krzyzne Pass (2112\u00a0m.) to Skrajny Granat (Side Grenade Peak 2225\u00a0m.) and further through Zawrat Pass (2159\u00a0m.) to Mount \u015awinica (2301\u00a0m.).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Trails in the area of Dolina Pi\u0119ciu Staw\u00f3w Polskich:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"color: #00ff00\">green<\/span> \u2013 along Dolina Roztoki to Wielki Staw Polski \u2013 estimated time approx. 2.5 hours<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\"><strong>black<\/strong> \u2013 branch of green trail to the hostel at Przedni Staw \u2013 estimated time from leaving green trail approx. 1.45 hours<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">blue<\/span> \u2013 from Morskie Oko to the hostel at Przedni Staw \u2013 estimated time approx. 2 hours \u2013 further to Zawrat Pass \u2013 estimated time approx. 2 hours<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00\">yellow<\/span> \u2013 from Morskie Oko via Szpiglasowa Prze\u0142\u0119cz to Dolina Pi\u0119ciu Staw\u00f3w \u2013 estimated time approx. 3.5 hours and further to Kozia Prze\u0142\u0119cz (Goat Pass) \u2013 estimated time approx. 1.5 hours<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\"><strong>black<\/strong> \u2013 from Wielki Staw to Kozi Wierch (Goat Peak) \u2013 estimated time approx. 2 hours<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00\">yellow<\/span> \u2013 from Wielki Staw to \u00a0Prze\u0142\u0119cz Krzyzne \u2013 estimated time approx. 2 hours<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Don\u2019t forget to share your experience with us!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><strong>Do nast\u0119pnego razu<\/strong>!
