Eight years ago, Karagounis scored in the opening 2-1 win over Euro 2004 host Portugal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">But it didn\u2019t happen this time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Russia 4, Czech Republic 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In Wroc\u0142aw, Poland, Alan Dzagoev scored a goal in each half in Russia\u2019s masterful display of attacking soccer to beat the Czech Republic in their European Championship Group A opener.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dzagoev and Roman Shirokov gave Russia a 2-0 halftime lead before Vaclav Pilar in the 52nd minute gave the Czechs brief hopesof a comeback.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dzagoev replied with his second in the 80th minute, and substitute Roman Pavlyuchenko added a fourth in the 82nd.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do nast<\/strong><strong>\u0119pnego razu&#8230; <\/strong>(Till next time&#8230;)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>And it started!
