With a minimum of equipment, you can paddle anything from ocean surf to lakes and rivers\u2014no waves required.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Paddleboarding (<strong>&#8220;po\u0142\u0105czenie deski surfingowej z wios\u0142em&#8221;<\/strong> &#8211; there is really no translation for this word in Polish, so this is as close as I could get: surf board with paddle) offers an amazing full body workout (<strong>pe\u0142ny trening cia\u0142a<\/strong>) and is becoming a favorite cross-training activity for skiers, snowboarders and other athletes. And since you&#8217;re standing at your full height, you&#8217;ll enjoy excellent views of everything from sea creatures to what&#8217;s on the horizon. It&#8217;s almost like walking on water!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">You need just a few key pieces of equipment to enjoy this sport:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Stand up paddleboard<\/em> (<strong>deska<\/strong>): This is by far your most significant gear investment. Sizes are based on the paddler&#8217;s weight and experience. More experienced and lighter paddlers can choose narrower boards. Novice paddlers should choose wider, flatter boards, which offer more stability.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Paddle<\/em> (<strong>wios\u0142o<\/strong>): Stand up paddles have an angle or \u201celbow\u201d in the shaft for maximum efficiency. Choose a paddle that&#8217;s roughly 6\u201d to 8\u201d taller than you are (though some manufacturers recommend an 8\u201d to 10\u201d differential).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>PFD (Personal Flotation Device)<\/em> (<strong>Osobisty sprz\u0119t ratunkowy, kamizelka ratunkowa<\/strong>): The U.S. Coast Guard classifies stand up paddleboards as vessels, so always wear a PFD whenever you&#8217;re paddling navigable water.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Proper clothing<\/em> (<strong>odpowiednie ubranie<\/strong>): For cold conditions where hypothermia is a concern, wear a wetsuit (<strong>kombinezon wodny<\/strong>) or dry suit. In milder conditions, wear shorts (<strong>spodenki<\/strong>) and a T-shirt (<strong>koszulka<\/strong>) or bathing suit (<strong>kostium k\u0105pielowy<\/strong>)\u2014something that moves with you and can get wet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Sun protection:<\/em> Wear sunscreen (<strong>krem przeciws\u0142oneczny<\/strong>) and sunglasses (<strong>okulary przeciws\u0142oneczne<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">It is really a lot of fun and if you are into water sports &#8211; you should definitely try it! We take our 2.5 years old daughter with us all the time. She sits in the front of the board and she absolutely loves it!
