The frequency of our contact with others and the quality of our personal relationships (<strong>relacje osobiste<\/strong>) are thus crucial determinants of our well-being (<strong>dobrobyt, powodzenie<\/strong>). Helping others (<strong>pomaganie innym<\/strong>) can also make you happier. People who volunteer tend to be more satisfied with their lives (<strong>bardziej zadowoleni z \u017cycia<\/strong>)\u00a0than those who do not. Time spent volunteering also contributes to a healthy civil society (<strong>zdrowe spo\u0142ecze\u0144stwo obywatelskie<\/strong>). On average, people in Poland spend 1 minute per day in volunteering activities .\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/polish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2012\/10\/Unknown-6.jpeg\" aria-label=\"Unknown 6\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3712 alignright\"  alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"225\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/polish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2012\/10\/Unknown-6.jpeg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A strong social network, or community, can provide emotional support (<strong>wsparcie emocjonalne<\/strong>) during both good and bad times as well as provide access to jobs, services and other material opportunities. In Poland, 90% of people believe that they know someone they could rely on in time of need. There is some difference between men and women, as 87% of men believe they have this kind of social support, compared with 93% of women.
