Education (<strong>edukacja,\u00a0wykszta\u0142cenie<\/strong>) plays a key role in providing individuals with the knowledge (<strong>wiedza<\/strong>), skills (<strong>umiej\u0119tno\u015bci<\/strong>) and competences (<strong>kompetencje<\/strong>) needed to participate effectively in society and in the economy. Most concretely, having a good education greatly improves the likelihood of finding a job and earning enough money.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/polish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2012\/10\/images-13.jpeg\" aria-label=\"Images 13\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-3716\"  alt=\"\" width=\"262\" height=\"192\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/polish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2012\/10\/images-13.jpeg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Following a decline in manual labour over previous decades, employers now favour a more educated labour force. High-school graduation rates therefore provide a good indication of whether a country is preparing its students to meet the minimum requirements of the job market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In Poland, 88% of adults aged 25-64 have earned the equivalent of a high-school degree. This is equally true of men and women. Among younger people \u2013 a better indicator of Poland\u2019s future \u2013 93% of 25-34 year-olds have earned the equivalent of a high-school degree.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Poles can expect to go through 18 years of education between the ages of 5 and 39. This high level of education expectancy echoes Poland\u2019s good performance in the educational attainment of its 25-34 year-old population.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The best-performing school systems manage to provide high-quality education to all students.
