Original, non-Latin names for the months of the year also exist in some other languages &#8211; like Czech (but not Slovak), Croatian, Lithuanian or Basque. But this is rather an exception than the rule.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Luty &#8211; luty in old Polish means &#8220;fierce&#8221;, &#8220;bitter frost&#8221;, &#8220;freezing cold&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Here is a little poem\/rhyme for you about this month:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">&#8220;Luty&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Cz\u0119sto w nim bywaj\u0105 jeszcze<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">mrozy trzaskaj\u0105ce,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">za to jest w calutkim roku<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">najkr\u00f3tszym miesi\u0105cem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Lecz nie zrobi nam nic z\u0142ego<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">mro\u017any koniec zimy,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">nakarmimy g\u0142odne ptaki,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">w piecu napalimy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Szczerzy luty z\u0119by sopli,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">wszystko mrozem \u015bciska.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Niech tam sobie!
