Just sampling them is enough to discover that they are really delicious. The most recommendable dishes are: bigos, kotlet schabowy, pierogi and go\u0142\u0105bki.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A lot of times lunch (<strong>obiad<\/strong>) contains 2 dishes: a soup (<strong>zupa<\/strong>) and main course (<strong>danie g\u0142\u00f3wne<\/strong>). Here are some lunch\/dinner dishes you may see on the menus in Polish restaurants:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">SOUPS<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Ch\u0142odnik litewski<\/strong>: cold yoghurt-and-beetroot soup served with a hard boiled egg, originally from Lithuania.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Barszcz bia\u0142y<\/strong>: sour thick wheat starch soup with marjoram, potatoes, sometimes with cream.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Barszcz czerwony<\/strong>: refreshing beetroot soup with vegetables and sour cream or served clear with dumplings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>\u017burek<\/strong>: sour rye soup with potato, sausage or an egg, sometimes served in a bread loaf.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Krupnik<\/strong>: barley soup with a smattering of vegetables and smoked meat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Kapu\u015bniak<\/strong>: sour cabbage soup.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Zupa og\u00f3rkowa<\/strong>: hot sour cucumber soup.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Zupa koperkowa<\/strong>: dill soup.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Ros\u00f3\u0142 z kurczaka<\/strong>: golden chicken consomm\u00e9 with noodles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Zupa pomidorowa<\/strong>: tomato soup, often with rice or noodles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Groch\u00f3wka<\/strong>: thick pea soup.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Zupa grzybowa<\/strong>: mushroom soup with cream.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Flaki wo\u0142owe<\/strong>: beef tripe soup.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">MAIN COURSES:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Eskalopki z ciel\u0119ciny<\/strong>: veal in a blanket.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Pol\u0119dwiczki wo\u0142owe<\/strong>: beef sirloin, often with rare mushroom sauce.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Oz\u00f3r wo\u0142owy<\/strong>: soft steamed beef tongues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Sztuka mi\u0119sa w sosie chrzanowym<\/strong>: boiled chunk of beef in horseradish sauce.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Zrazy zawijane<\/strong>: beef rolls stuffed with bacon, gherkin and onion or red pepper, in a spicy sauce.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Golonka w piwie<\/strong>: fat, but tasty pork knuckle, sometimes in beer sauce, always with horseradish; very traditional, originally from Bavaria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Kark\u00f3wka<\/strong>: tenderloin, usually roasted<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Kotlet schabowy<\/strong>: traditional breaded pork cutlet (a tasty choice if you do not want any risk).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>\u017beberka w miodzie<\/strong>: spare pork ribs in honey.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Kaczka z jab\u0142kami<\/strong>: baked duck in apple.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Kurczak de volaille<\/strong>: chicken steaks spread with butter, filled with mushrooms and bread crumbed<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>W\u0105tr\u00f3bki drobiow<\/strong>e: chicken liver.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Baranina<\/strong>: roasted or even grilled lamb \u2013 great, especially in the mountains.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Klopsiki<\/strong>: meatloaf, often with tomato sauce.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Bigos<\/strong>: appetizing, seasoned &#8220;hunter&#8221; stew made from sauerkraut with chunks of various meats and sausages, extremely traditional.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Dziczyzna<\/strong>: game, venison<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Fasolka po breto\u0144sku<\/strong>: bean and sausage stew with tomato sauce.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Go\u0142\u0105bki<\/strong>: cabbage stuffed with meat or meat and rice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Kaszanka<\/strong>: grilled or baked solid pieces of buckwheat blended with pork blood and shaped as sausages.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Szasz\u0142yk<\/strong>: originally Caucasian dish; chunks of meat grilled on a spit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Karp po \u017cydowsku<\/strong>: carp in aspic with raisins, originally Jewish.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>\u0141oso\u015b<\/strong>: salmon, often baked or boiled in a dill sauce.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Pstr\u0105g<\/strong>: trout, sometimes flamb\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Side dishes are usually <strong>ziemniaki<\/strong> (potatoes), <strong>frytki<\/strong> (french fries), <strong>ry\u017c<\/strong> (rice) and different salads\/vegetables<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Smacznego!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Do nast<\/strong><strong>\u0119pnego razu&#8230;
