So what do you say (or write, if you prefer sending a card or an email)? The easiest and most common phrase is<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Wszystkiego najlepszego<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">which literally means \u201cAll the best\u201d and is pretty generic. You can modify the phrase depending on the occasion. So for birthdays you can say:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Wszystkiego najlepszego z okazji urodzin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cAll the best on your birthday\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">If someone is getting married, you can say:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Wszystkiego najlepszego z okazji \u015blubu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cAll the best on your marriage\u201d. But let\u2019s go back to celebrating birthdays. Two words you might find useful are:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>\u017byczenia<\/strong> \u201cwishes\u201d and <strong>\u017byczy\u0107<\/strong>, which means \u2018to wish\u201d, but you will usually use:\u00a0<strong>\u017bycz\u0119 (Ci)\u2026szcz\u0119\u015bcia i du\u017co mi\u0142o\u015bci<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">which means \u201cI wish (you) happiness and lots of love\u2026\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/polish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2013\/06\/sto-lat.jpg\" aria-label=\"Sto Lat\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6875\"  alt=\"\" width=\"262\" height=\"162\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/polish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2013\/06\/sto-lat.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">There\u2019s also an easy option. There\u2019s a song we sing to celebrate someone\u2019s birthday in which we express our wish for them to live a hundred years. The song can be used for ll different ocassions: namedays, birthdays, weddings! \u00a0A hundred years is Sto lat in Polish. If everything else fails, wish the birthday girl or boy \u201csto lat\u201d.
