I love animals! I have never travelled with a dog\/cat on a plane and I have never brought my animal to another country. So what to do when you are planning on moving to Poland and you want your pet to move with you?<\/p>\n

If you would like to import your pet from countries outside European Union…<\/span><\/p>\n

European Union regulations concerning the import of pets apply to Poland.\/Regulation EC No. 998\/2003\/<\/p>\n

To bring a pet to Poland a certificate must be issued by a veterinary.<\/p>\n

If you would like to move your pet from another EU Member State\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

The animals must be identified with the aid of an electronic identification system (transponder) or a clearly readable tattoo.<\/p>\n

The pet animals must be identified and vaccinated against rabies.<\/p>\n

Animals from EU Member States\/Countries must be accompanied by a passport issued by a veterinarian authorised by the competent authority of their state of origin.<\/p>\n

The Polish Kennel Club<\/span><\/p>\n

This Club was created in 1948 for all those people who really love animals. The main idea of this organization is to promote pure- bred dogs. People working for the Polish Kennel Club are organizing special shows during which all keepers can observe all interesting breeds or exchange information about them.<\/p>\n

Branches of that Club can be found in 46 towns in Poland. They are all under the leadership of Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI). There are also separate clubs for each breed like German Boxer Club in Warsaw. They are always in contact with the main Kennel Club.<\/p>\n

And if you want to find out something new about the breed you are interested in you can read magazine \u201cPies\u201d (\u201cDog\u201d) which is published by the Polish Kennel Club.<\/p>\n

Hotels for animals<\/span><\/p>\n

If you have got a dog, a cat, a parrot or another animal and you want to go on holiday and you don\u2019t know what to do with it, there are special places that help in such situations. They are called hotels for animals. For certain sum of money you can leave your pet there for couple of days, sometimes even a month. That depends on you and your wallet.<\/p>\n

In some places you can leave even rats or amphibians. People who work for such institutions will take care of them as you did at home. You can leave information what your cat likes to eat or dog likes to play with, and they will conform to your instructions. Pet owners can bring toys and all equipment but very often everything is there already at the hotel.<\/p>\n

Prices for a day in such places differ depending on the town.<\/p>\n
