The feast of St. Andrew\u2019s, celebrated in a very unsaintly way \u2013 by fortune telling, singing, dancing and much drinking. I think I wrote about <strong>Andrzejki<\/strong> last year, so I\u2019m not going to repeat myself. And besides, I\u2019ve never been a fan of pouring hot, melted wax into a pan of cold water, and through a keyhole, no less (<strong>lanie wosku<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>So let\u2019s celebrate the end of November (<strong>koniec listopada<\/strong>) in a slightly more refined way \u2013 by looking at some pretty photos of Poland. Yes, it\u2019s time for our occasional Polish photoblogs roundup.<\/p>\n<p>Today I have two sites for you showcasing the beauty (and otherwise) of <strong>\u015al\u0105sk<\/strong> (Silesia). One is about <strong>Gliwice<\/strong>, and the other \u2013 <strong>Chorz\u00f3w<\/strong>. Now, call me stupid, but until today I wasn\u2019t even 100% just where exactly <strong>Gliwice<\/strong> was. I knew it was in the lower part of the map, slightly to the left, but that\u2019s about it. And until I discovered <a href=\"http:\/\/gliwice-photo.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gliwice Daily Photo<\/a>, I had been under the impression that <strong>Gliwice<\/strong> was just another grimy mining town. But wouldn\u2019t you know it?
