The climate in Poland (klimat w Polsce<\/strong>) is rather changeable as it is subject to contradictory influences. Temperatures and seasons have changeable characteristics depending on the year.<\/p>\n

However certain characteristics are constant. The central areas are dryer (obszary centralne s\u0105 bardziej suche<\/strong>), while the south is more humid (po\u0142udnie jest bardziej wilgotne<\/strong>). The winters are generally harsh with snow in the mountains and the eastern areas.<\/p>\n

February is typically pretty cold, with snow in most areas. But, just like everywhere else, some years are colder, some years are warmer. I found two cute Polish poems about February.<\/p>\n

Where is this terrible, angry February?<\/em><\/p>\n

Which used to show frosty fangs<\/em><\/p>\n

But, when it was a in a good mood<\/em><\/p>\n

He was sledding down the hill?<\/em><\/p>\n

I ba\u0142wanki lepi\u0142 z nami,<\/strong><\/p>\n

szyby zdobi\u0142 nam kwiatami<\/strong><\/p>\n

– mia\u0142 pomys\u0142\u00f3w pe\u0142n\u0105 g\u0142ow\u0119.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And used to built snowman with us,<\/em><\/p>\n

decorate the windows with the frosty flowers,<\/em><\/p>\n

And was full of great ideas.<\/em><\/p>\n

But, fortunately,<\/em><\/p>\n

Still gives us winter school brake!<\/em><\/p>\n

Often, there tend to be more<\/em><\/p>\n

frost crackling,<\/em><\/p>\n

However, it is\u00a0the shortest month<\/em><\/p>\n

in the whole year<\/em><\/p>\n

Lecz nie zrobi nam nic z\u0142ego<\/strong><\/p>\n

mro\u017any koniec zimy,<\/strong><\/p>\n

nakarmimy g\u0142odne ptaki,<\/strong><\/p>\n

w piecu napalimy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But it will not hurt us<\/em><\/p>\n

frosty end of winter,<\/em><\/p>\n

We will feed the hungry birds,<\/em><\/p>\n

start the fire in the fireplace.<\/em><\/p>\n

Szczerzy luty z\u0119by sopli,<\/strong><\/p>\n

wszystko mrozem \u015bciska.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Niech tam sobie! Wkr\u00f3tce<\/strong><\/p>\n

przyjdzie “kryska na Matyska”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

February is laughing with icicle teeth<\/em><\/p>\n

Squeezes everything with the frost<\/em><\/p>\n

Let him do it<\/em><\/p>\n

Soon his time will come<\/em><\/p>\n

Gdy obuj\u0119 ciep\u0142e buty<\/strong><\/p>\n

i gdy ko\u017cuch w\u0142o\u017c\u0119,<\/strong><\/p>\n

niech tam sobie mro\u017any luty<\/strong><\/p>\n

sro\u017cy si\u0119 na dworze.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When I will put warm shoes on<\/p>\n

and when I put sheepskin coat,<\/p>\n

Let the frosty February<\/p>\n

scare me on the court.<\/p>\n
