Z\u0142oty is Polish currency and\u00a0meaning of the word &#8220;z\u0142oty&#8221; literally means &#8220;golden&#8221;.\u00a0The word is derived from the Polish term <strong>&#8220;z\u0142oto&#8221;<\/strong> which means <strong>&#8220;gold&#8221;<\/strong> One z\u0142oty is equal to 100 groszy.<\/p>\n<p>Z\u0142oty come in bills and coins. The National Bank of Poland (Narodowy Bank Polski) is the only bank who has the right to issue z\u0142otych in Poland. The banknote is protected with multiple security features, like watermarks and microprinting, which document its authenticity. Color is <strong>dark brown<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>20 z\u0142otych note<\/strong> features\u00a0Portrait of King Boles\u0142aw I the Brave \u00a0(<strong>Boles\u0142aw I Chrobry<\/strong>) in centre area. Reverse side features depiction of a denar, a silver coin from Boles\u0142aw I the Brave&#8217;s reign, in centre area. Colors of the note are <strong>violet and pink.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>50 z\u0142otych note<\/strong> features<strong>\u00a0Kazimierz III Wielki<\/strong> with\u00a0White Eagle from the royal seal of Casimir III the Great and the regalia of Poland: sceptre and globus cruciger. Colors on the note are <strong>blue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>100 z\u0142otych note<\/strong> features\u00a0<strong>W\u0142adys\u0142aw II Jagie\u0142\u0142o<\/strong>. Reverse side features\u00a0Shield bearing a White Eagle from the tombstone of W\u0142adys\u0142aw II Jagie\u0142\u0142o, coat of the Teutonic Knights and the Grunwald Swords. Color on the note is <strong>dark green<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>200 z\u0142otych note<\/strong> features\u00a0Zygmunt I Stary. Reverse side features eagle intertwined with the letter S in a hexagon, from the Zygmunt&#8217;s Chapel.
