There is a lot happening at the Warsaw University of Technology (Politechnika Warszawska<\/strong>) this weekend, so make sure to stop by if you are in the area. It is called International Festival of Warsaw<\/strong>. So far 21 countries are part of this International Festival (Festiwal Mi\u0119dzynarodowy<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

So what is it exactly? \u00a0I have never attended one, but you can find helpful information \u00a0on this<\/a>\u00a0website. The main goal of the event is to enable the presentation of international communities that live in Poland.<\/p>\n

Students in today’s world,\u00a0growing up to be global leaders of the future (globalni liderzy przysz\u0142o\u015bci<\/strong>), will require a remarkable insight into people and cultures across the world, and an unprecedented concern for the well-being of the world community.<\/p>\n

International-mindedness is in my opinion very important. It is a view of the world in which people see themselves connected to the global community and assume a sense of responsibility to its members. It is an awareness of the inter-relatedness of all nations and people, and a recognition of the complexity of these relationships. Internationally-minded people appreciate and value the diversity of cultures in the world and make an effort to learn more about them.<\/p>\n

International Festival promotes culture, gastronomy, beautiful touristic places\u00a0and very interesting people from around the world! They do it through music, food, dancing, games and many more awesome activities! What a great way to spend the weekend!<\/p>\n

Both Saturday and Sunday you can expect to see International Christmas Markets, meet\u00a0with Warsaw University of Technology scientists who will explain various holiday phenomena, meet Santa Claus(!), see and hear International Christmas Carols Concert, see\u00a0International Students Talent Show, try international food, hear about traditions from different parts of the world and many, many more great things to be part of. The festival will start on Saturday at 10am and will last until Sunday until 8pm.<\/p>\n
