It has been very stressful week and a half for my family. For some of you longer, all around the world. It\u2019s a frightening time. We\u2019re in the midst of a worldwide pandemic, with cities and even entire countries shutting down. Some of us are in areas that have already been affected by coronavirus. Others are bracing for what may come.<\/p>\n

There are so many things outside of our control, including how long the pandemic lasts, how other people behave, and what\u2019s going to happen in our communities. \u00a0But as long as we\u2019re focusing on questions with unknowable answers and circumstances outside of our personal control, this strategy will get us nowhere\u2014aside from feeling drained, anxious, and overwhelmed. Instead, we should\u00a0try to shift our focus to things we can control. No matter where in the world we are now.<\/p>\n

And what is it exactly?<\/p>\n

We can control how we spend our days at home and how we\u00a0can take steps to reduce our own personal risk (and the risk we could unknowingly spread it to others)…<\/p>\n

What kind of steps?<\/p>\n

Stay home as much as possible, even if you don\u2019t feel sick!\u00a0Zosta\u0144 w domu tak cz\u0119sto, jak to mo\u017cliwe, nawet je\u015bli nie czujesz si\u0119 chory.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I have to say I’m used to staying home a lot. I work from home, I have small children and we live in a beautiful place surrounded by nature and not many people. So this transition was pretty easy for me. I will do it for my family and for everyone else without any question. The big sacrifices we take now will pay off and I strongly believe in this.<\/p>\n

I have to say I really enjoy my daughters voices when they sing different songs now, while washing their hands. They always knew that we wash our hands often, but especially now they understand the importance of it.<\/p>\n

Fortunately for my family, we live in the mountain area, where you don’t see many people. We definitely go for walks and hikes and try to greed people with a wave. I understand that it may be harder for people in the cities, but let’s do our best!<\/p>\n

Avoid all non-essential shopping and travel!\u00a0Unikaj wszelkich zb\u0119dnych zakup\u00f3w i podr\u00f3\u017cy!<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Honestly, the only time my husband went out this week is to visit grocery store and the bank…Although, to be honest, he did go to the liqueur store as well?.<\/p>\n

I know we crave the contact with other people now, but we can do it! We have been trying to do group chats\/videos with friends and family as much as we can!<\/p>\n

Play games while spending time with your loved ones at home!\u00a0Graj w gry, sp\u0119dzaj\u0105c czas z najbli\u017cszymi w domu.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

For the past few days we played more games than ever with our daughters! We have so many games, yet we never played them as much as in this difficult times. So much fun and such a great bonding time:)<\/p>\n

Schools are so expensive these days, why not take an advantage of what so many great universities are offering right now for free and learn something new? Perhaps get certified in something we always had interest in? Now we may have time to do it!<\/p>\n

Get plenty of exercise! \u0106wicz du\u017co!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

We have to stay healthy and exercise can be such a great distraction as well! We take walks, we hike, we use online resources for at home workouts. My daughters and I do daily workouts using online app. We love it!<\/p>\n

Do whatever makes you happy! Sing songs, dance, read book, watch movies…R\u00f3b cokolwiek czyni ci\u0119 szcz\u0119\u015bliwym! \u015apiewaj piosenki, ta\u0144cz, czytaj ksi\u0105\u017cki, ogl\u0105daj filmy…<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

We are all in this together and together we can do it!<\/p>\n
