I remember eating it as a child all the time and we absolutely loved it!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kisiel<\/strong> is a very simple and quick dessert (<strong>prosty i szybki deser<\/strong>), very popular in Eastern Europeans countries. These easy desserts are usually made with sweetened fruit puree that has been thickened with some type of starch, typically potato starch, cornstarch, or potato flour. You can buy the packets and most of the Polish stores or stores with European food and they are very inexpensive.<\/p>\n<p>The most popular flavors are strawberry (<strong>truskawkowy<\/strong>), raspberry (<strong>malinowy<\/strong>) &#8211; my favorite, and cranberry (<strong>\u017curawinowy<\/strong>), but you can also find cherry (<strong>wi\u015bniowy<\/strong>), red currant (<strong>porzeczkowy<\/strong>), prunes (<strong>\u015bliwkowy<\/strong>) and apricot (<strong>morelowy<\/strong>) flavors!<\/p>\n<p>I remember my mother making it for us pretty often, since I grew up on a fruit farm.
