The species is known as &#8220;<i>on\u00e7a parda<\/i>&#8221; in Portuguese. The one male and two females were abandoned by their mother, but are now under the care of feline experts at a veterinary clinic.<\/p>\n<p>The cubs are between eight and ten days old, and are being fed a special mixture of milk, cream, eggs, and vitamins. They were named Simba, Nala, and Kiara after characters from <i>The Lion King<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Pumas are native to both North and South America, and are carnivorous.
