Oi? <\/em>Yup, <em>reveillon<\/em>, or &#8220;new year,&#8221; is right around the corner already!!<\/p>\n<p>And like with many other holidays, but especially for <em>reveillon<\/em>, Brazilians have all sorts of <em>simpatias<\/em>, or superstitions. \u00a0Since there are so many, I&#8217;m going to make this a 2 part post!!<\/p>\n<p>First, we&#8217;re going to talk about colors and their meanings. \u00a0Most people traditionally wear white, which simbolizes a peaceful year ahead, and then women especially, wear different color underwear following the meanings below. \u00a0But\u00a0<em>hoje em dia<\/em>, outfits are worn in various colors (but always paying attention to the simpatias!), and not just white!!<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/portuguese\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2010\/12\/reveillon.png\" aria-label=\"Reveillon 300x298\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"reveillon\"  alt=\"Roupa para o Reveillon\" width=\"300\" height=\"298\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/portuguese\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2010\/12\/reveillon-300x298.png\"><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">my outfit this year&#39;s somewhere along these lines... <\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<p>I read this <a href=\"http:\/\/todaperfeita.com.br\/entenda-o-significado-das-cores-para-o-reveillon\/\">post on Toda Perfeita<\/a>, a really girly Brazilian blog, that has a pretty complete description of each color and its meaning (boys, this counts for you too!):<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Branco-<\/strong> vamos come\u00e7ar com a cor tend\u00eancia do r\u00e9veillon brasileiro; Essa \u00e9 uma pr\u00e1tica que herdamos da cultura\u00a0africana, que acredita ser o branco, cor ideal para a atrair as energias positivas. Simboliza a paz, verdade, sabedoria, estimula a mem\u00f3ria e proporciona equil\u00edbrio interior.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Amarelo-<\/strong> use-a para ter dinheiro, riqueza e sabedoria\u00a0\u2013 para gastar o dinheiro \u2013 o ano todo. Ajuda a estimular a intui\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Rosa- <\/strong>para obter sorte no amor, beleza\u00a0e afastar as energias negativas.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Vermelho- <\/strong>para quem quer romances intensos, muita paix\u00e3o for\u00e7a e energia no novo ano \u00e9 a cor indicada. N\u00e3o quer se vestir de vermelho? Acess\u00f3rios avermelhados j\u00e1 garantem sucesso na simpatia.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Azul-<\/strong> mas se o que voc\u00ea quer \u00e9 calmaria, e literalmente que fique \u201ctudo azul\u201d, invista nessa tonalidade. Harmonia e sa\u00fade tamb\u00e9m s\u00e3o atra\u00eddos por essa cor.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Verde- <\/strong>representando as energias da natureza, o verde significa esperan\u00e7a, equil\u00edbrio e recome\u00e7o. Renova as energias trazendo vida nova junto ao novo ano.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Laranja- <\/strong>assim como o amarelo, atrai sucesso financeiro. Proporciona um ano muito alegre, repleto de conquistas pessoais e profissionais. Se voc\u00ea est\u00e1 sonhando com aquela promo\u00e7\u00e3o ou procurando um emprego, o laranja \u00e9 a cor certa.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Violeta-<\/strong> a cor da pedra filosofal, o violeta traz junto com o novo ano inspira\u00e7\u00e3o, sensibilidade, imagina\u00e7\u00e3o e estabilidade. Tamb\u00e9m eleva a auto-estima e ajuda a manter o foco. \u00d3tima op\u00e7\u00e3o se seu objetivo no novo ano for a supera\u00e7\u00e3o de algum obst\u00e1culo.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>So for a recap in English&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em>Branco\/<\/em><strong>White<\/strong><em> = <\/em>peace, truth, wisdom, good memory and balance<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Amarelo\/<\/em>Yellow = <\/strong>money, wealth and wisdom (to spend it!)<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Rosa\/<\/em>Pink = <\/strong>luck in love, beauty and to drive away bad energy<\/p>\n<p><em>Vermelho\/<\/em><strong>Red<\/strong><strong> = <\/strong>passion, strength and energy\u00a0<strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Azul\/<\/em><strong>Blue<\/strong><em> = <\/em>harmony,\u00a0<em> <\/em>health, and an overall calm year<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Verde\/<\/em>Green = <\/strong>hope, balance and new beginnings<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Laranja\/<\/em>Orange = <\/strong>financial success, happiness, professional and personal success<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Violeta\/<\/em>Purple = <\/strong>inspiration, sensibility, imagination, stability; raises your self esteem and helps to keep you focused.<\/p>\n<p>Doesn&#8217;t it make you want to just wear a rainbow?! Well, it doesn&#8217;t count&#8230; but don&#8217;t forget, the outfit, underwear and accessories count \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>Since I plan to have a 2011 with a lot of changes in my personal and professional life, I&#8217;m going to go with <em>laranja<\/em> this year (above is my dream reveillon outfit put together on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bymk.com.br\">ByMK<\/a>)!
