But she has become a local celebrity after helping rescue an abandoned newborn baby.<\/p>\n<p>The dog found the baby in a box in an empty lot, and began barking to attract attention, and dragged the box toward curious neighbors when they came by. The baby weighs two kilos (about four pounds) and is doing fine in the hospital.
