We&#8217;re going to take a look at some of the irregular nouns.<\/p>\n<p>When a noun ends in &#8220;\u00e3o,&#8221; there are different rules for how to make it plural, and it is simply a matter of memorization to remember which nouns have which rule.<\/p>\n<p><b>1. \u00e3o to \u00e3os<\/b><br \/>irm\u00e3o &#8211;&gt; irm\u00e3os&nbsp; [brother -&gt; brothers]<br \/>m\u00e3o &#8211;&gt; m\u00e3os&nbsp; [hand -&gt; hands]<\/p>\n<p><b>2. \u00e3o to \u00e3es<\/b><br \/>c\u00e3o &#8211;&gt; c\u00e3es&nbsp; [dog -&gt; dogs]<br \/>p\u00e3o &#8211;&gt; p\u00e3es&nbsp; [bread -&gt; bread (plural)]<br \/>alem\u00e3o &#8211;&gt; alem\u00e3es [German &#8211;&gt; Germans]<\/p>\n<p><b>3. \u00e3o to \u00f5es<\/b><br \/>organiza\u00e7\u00e3o &#8211;&gt; organiza\u00e7\u00f5es&nbsp; [organization -&gt; organizations]<br \/>gavi\u00e3o &#8211;&gt; gavi\u00f5es&nbsp; [hawk -&gt; hawks]<br \/>avi\u00e3o &#8211;&gt; avi\u00f5es&nbsp; [airplane -&gt; airplanes]<\/p>\n<p><b>Also, nouns that end with &#8220;em&#8221; change to ens.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>nuvem &#8211;&gt; nuvens&nbsp; [cloud -&gt; clouds]<br \/>bem &#8211;&gt; bens&nbsp; [good -&gt; goods]<br \/>trem &#8211;&gt; trens&nbsp; [train -&gt; trains]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today we&#8217;re going to continue our lesson about plural nouns in Portuguese.
