So, let&#8217;s go for it!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">First, this verb phrase has two parts: the verb <strong>estar (in the present) + the main verb in the gerund<\/strong>. Let&#8217;s review the verb estar:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>eu estou<\/em><br \/>\n<em> voc\u00ea est\u00e1 \/ t\u00fa est\u00e1s<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ele \/ ela est\u00e1<\/em><br \/>\n<em> n\u00f3s estamos<\/em><br \/>\n<em> voc\u00eas est\u00e3o \/ v\u00f3s estais [rare]<\/em><br \/>\n<em> eles \/ elas est\u00e3o<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We form the gerung by adding the ending ndo to the verb. Here are some examples:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">falar <em>[to speak]<\/em> &#8211; falando <em>[speaking]<\/em><br \/>\ndan\u00e7ar <em>[to dance]<\/em> &#8211; dan\u00e7ando <em>[dancing]<\/em><br \/>\nbeber <em>[to drink]<\/em> &#8211; bebendo<em> [drinking]<\/em><br \/>\ncomer <em>[to eat]<\/em> &#8211; comendo <em>[eating]<\/em><br \/>\nsair <em>[to leave]<\/em> &#8211; saindo <em>[leaving]<\/em><br \/>\nir <em>[to go]<\/em> &#8211; indo <em>[going]<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Now let&#8217;s make some sentences!
