Namorar<\/strong> = to date
\nTer um encontro com<\/strong> = to have a date with
\nUm encontro<\/strong> = a date<\/p>\n

Voc\u00ea parece mais feliz depois que come\u00e7ou a namorar o Mike. – You look happier since you started dating Mike.
\nTenho um encontro hoje \u00e0 noite. Estou ansioso. – I have a date tonight. I’m anxious.
\nA que horas \u00e9 seu encontro? – What time is your date?<\/p>\n

Estar apaixonado (por)<\/strong> = to be in love (with)
\nApaixonar-se (por)<\/strong> = to fall in love (with)
\nAmor \u00e0 Primeira Vista<\/strong> = love at first sight<\/p>\n

N\u00e3o d\u00e1 pra pensar direito quando se est\u00e1 apaixonado. – You can’t think straight when you are in love.
\nEle se apaixonou por ela assim que a viu. Para ele foi amor \u00e0 primeira vista. = He fell in love with her the minute he laid eyes on her. For him it was love at first sight.<\/p>\n

Namorar firme (com)<\/strong> = to go steady (with)
\nDar-se bem (com), entender-se bem (com)<\/strong> = to get along (with)
\nO amor \u00e9 cego.<\/strong> = Love is blind.<\/p>\n

Eles namoram firme h\u00e1 tr\u00eas anos. – They have been going steady for three years.
\nNo in\u00edcio eles n\u00e3o se entendiam. – At first they didn’t get along.
\nComo dizem, “o amor \u00e9 cego”. – As they say, “love is blind”.<\/p>\n

Romper (com algu\u00e9m), largar (de algu\u00e9m)<\/strong> = to break up, to split up (with)
\nSuperar (o fim do relacionamento), “esquecer”<\/strong> = to get over<\/p>\n

Todos ficamos surpresos quando soubemos que ele tinha largado dela. – We were all surprised when we found out he had broken up with her.
\nEla levou bastante tempo para se esquecer dele. – It took her quite some time to get over him.<\/p>\n

Fazer as pazez e voltar<\/strong> = to make up and get back together
\nCasar-se<\/strong> = to get married<\/p>\n

\u00c9 bom saber que eles fizeram as pazes e voltaram depois daquela briga. – It’s good to know they made up and got back together after that argument.
\nVoc\u00ea sabe quando eles v\u00e3o se casar? – Do you know when they are getting married?<\/p>\n
