Let’s kick November off with some very interesting sentences to use when you’re at school. These sentences are very useful if you’re taking a course in a Portuguese-speaking country or if you want to improve your Portuguese in general.<\/p>\n

O Aluno – The Student<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eu tenho uma pergunta sobre… – I have a question about…
\nFiquei na d\u00favida sobre… – I’m still not clear on…
\nTem carteira para canhotos? – Do you have a left-handed desk?
\nQuem voc\u00ea pegou para…? – Who do you have for…?
\nN\u00e3o sei se estou na sala certa. – I don’t know if I’m in the right class.
\nAcho que preciso mudar para um n\u00edvel acima\/abaixo. – I think I need to move to a higher\/lower level.
\nGosto muito das suas aulas. – I really enjoy your classes.
\nGostaria de conversar sobre mudar de turma. – I’d like to talk to you about changing classes.
\nVai cair na prova? – Will we be tested on this?
\nVoc\u00ea pode escrever isso no quadro? – Could you write that on the board?
\nDesculpe, n\u00e3o estou enxergando o quadro. – I’m sorry, I can’t see the board.
\nDesculpe, tem um reflexo no quadro. – Excuse me, there’s a glare on the board.
\nEspere! N\u00e3o apague isso ainda, por favor. – Wait! Don’t erase that yet, please.
\nPosso ver suas anota\u00e7\u00f5es? – Can I see your notes?
\nVoc\u00ea tem as anota\u00e7\u00f5es de ontem? – Do you have the notes from yesterday?
\nN\u00e3o vou estar aqui para a prova. – I’m not going to be here for the test.
\nPosso fazer uma prova substitutiva? – Can I take a make up test?
\nTenho que faltar amanh\u00e3. – I have to be absent tomorrow.
\nTudo bem se eu sair mais cedo hoje? – I have to leave a little early today, is that all right?
\nDesculpa o atraso! – Sorry, I’m late!
\nMe empresta sua caneta? – Can I borrow your pen?
\nEm que p\u00e1gina estamos? – What page are we on?
\nDesculpe. N\u00e3o estava prestando aten\u00e7\u00e3o. – I’m sorry. I wasn’t paying attention.
\nTive alguns problemas com a li\u00e7\u00e3o. – I had some problems with the homework.
\nTenho uma pergunta sobre uma quest\u00e3o na prova. – I have a question about something on my test.
\nPodemos usar o dicion\u00e1rio na prova? – Can we use our diciotnaries for the test?<\/p>\n

O Professor – The Teacher<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vai ter prova na sexta-feira. – There’s going to be a test on Friday.
\nA prova bimestral tem peso … na nota final. – The midterm test counts as … of your final grade.
\nSil\u00eancio na prova. – There’s no talking during the test.
\nSem colar! – No cheating!
