Ol\u00e1, pessoal!<\/p>\n

There are some expressions that you just can’t find in textbooks. Why’s that? It’s because they’re not either grammatically correct or publishers don’t want you to know them (for one reason or another).<\/p>\n

Well, I have come to rescue you from ignorance and I have chosen 100 VERY cool everyday expressions you’ll probably not find in your coursebook. Here is the first part.<\/p>\n

Let’s get down to it!<\/p>\n

\u00c9 moleza! \/ \u00c9 mam\u00e3o com a\u00e7\u00facar! – It’s a piece of cake!
\nSumiu! – It’s gone!
\nComo assim? – How’s that? \/ What do you mean?
\nEle ficou danado da vida. – He went nuts.
\nT\u00f4 duro \/ liso. – I’m broke.
\nEle t\u00e1 aprontando alguma coisa. – He’s up to something.
\nNeg\u00f3cio fechado. – That’s a deal.
\nE a\u00ed? – What’s up?
\nS\u00f3 a t\u00edtulo de curiosidade. – Just out of curiosity.
\n\u00c9 s\u00f3 um palpite. – It’s just a hunch.
\nEle fez das tripas cora\u00e7\u00e3o pra fazer aquilo. – He went over backwards to do that.
\n\u00c9 por minha conta. – It’s on me. \/ My treat.
\nLegal! – Cool!
\nIsso j\u00e1 d\u00e1. – That does it.
\nVoc\u00ea vai ter que se virar com isso. – You’ll have to make do with this.
\nN\u00e3o t\u00f4 nem a\u00ed! – I don’t give a damn!
\nPorque sim. \/ Porque n\u00e3o. – Just because.
\nN\u00e3o mexe com ela. – Don’t mess with her.
\nAssinei em tr\u00eas vias. – I signed in triplicate.
\nEsse tipo de coisa. – That kind of thing.
\nEstou de saco cheio! – I’m fed up!
\nFoi por acaso. – It was by accident.
\nFiz de cabe\u00e7a. – I did it from memory.
\nN\u00e3o me leve a mal. – Don’t get me wrong.
\nIsso n\u00e3o tem nada a ver com… – This has nothing to do with…
\nVamos tomar uma saideira. – Let’s have one for the road.
\nFoi tudo por \u00e1gua abaixo. – EVerything went down the drain.
\nN\u00e3o enche o saco! – Piss off!
\nN\u00e3o pisa na bola! – Don’t screw up!
\nEle tirou a sorte grande. – He hit the jackpot.
\nAssim seja. – So be it.
\nConsta que… – Word is that…
\nhor\u00e1rio de ver\u00e3o – daylight savings time (D.S.T.)<\/p>\n
