Brazil is considered to be the most biodiverse country in the world. It is home to many animals such as the anaconda and jaguar. Some also believe that Brazil has the most insects in the world. Here are some animals you may not know:<\/p>\n

Pregui\u00e7a-de-coleira<\/em> (Maned Sloth) Several species of bicho-pregui\u00e7a<\/em> (sloth) are found in Brazil. Bicho-pregui\u00e7a<\/em>, translated literally, means “lazy bug” or “lazy animal.” The pregui\u00e7a-de-coleira<\/em> is a specific species of three-toed sloth and is only found in eastern Brazil.<\/p>\n

Muriquis\u00a0<\/em>are monkeys with long legs, related to spider monkeys. There are found in matas<\/em> (woods) in southern and south-eastern states in Brazil. The two species of muriqui are both part of the most endangered species of primaz<\/em>\u00a0(primates) in the world.<\/p>\n
