Brazilian food has several common side dishes and garnishes. Beans, farofa, and even <em>batata palha<\/em> are staples of Brazilian lunches and dinners. Another common garnish is vinagrete&#8230;my personal favorite. You will need <em>tomates<\/em> (tomatoes), <em>cebolas<\/em> (onions),<em> cheiro verde<\/em> (parsley), and <em>pimenta verdes<\/em> (green peppers) to start.<\/p>\n<p><em>Corte os ingredientes em cubos<\/em> (cut the ingredients into cubes). \u00a0The cubes should be pretty small. Then put it all into a bowl with agua (water), sal (salt), lim\u00e3o (lemon) and azeite (olive oil).<\/p>\n<p>Some people fry everything (<em>fritar em portugu\u00eas<\/em>) before putting it into a bowl. Another touch you can add is putting in a small amount of <em>vinagre<\/em> (vinegar) into the bowl too.<\/p>\n<p>Usually <em>vinagrete<\/em> is served with <em>churrasco<\/em> or <em>peixe (<\/em>fish).
