Luiz Gonzaga or Gonzag\u00e3o<\/em> is one of the most prominent Brazilian folk singers of the 20th century. \u00a0He popularized Northeastern bai\u00e3o<\/em> music throughout the country, and much of his music was reproduced by artists such as Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Geraldo Vandr\u00e9, amongst other great Brazilian artists. \u00a0Bai\u00e3o <\/em>is the foundation for forr\u00f3<\/em>, c\u00f4co<\/em>, and embolada, all Northeastern styled music – and all of which <\/span>Gonzag\u00e3o is officially “king.”<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

One of my favorite Luiz Gonzaga songs is “<\/span>A Vida do Viajante.<\/span>” \u00a0Although the title implies it’s a song for someone who makes a living travelling, but enjoying it at the same time – I think it can touch anyone who’s been away from home and have been touched by the world out “there!”<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
