Bom, n\u00e3o tem <\/span><b>nenhum<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> lugar melhor do que esse blog para ajudar voc\u00eas (well, there is no place like this blog to help you)! All jokes aside, I\u2019m sure you could see that the words<\/span><b> nem um<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><b>nenhum<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in Portuguese may bring some doubts because not only do they look very similar, but they also sound the same. These <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">homonyms have a very nasal sound, as you can <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">check below:<\/span><\/p>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-8099-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/portuguese\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2018\/08\/nenhum-online-audio-converter.com_.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/portuguese\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2018\/08\/nenhum-online-audio-converter.com_.mp3\">https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/portuguese\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2018\/08\/nenhum-online-audio-converter.com_.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Today\u2019s post will be dedicated to nem um and nenhum, always followed by examples so you guys can evaluate when it is better to use each.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8100\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/portuguese\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2018\/08\/nem.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"674\" height=\"125\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/portuguese\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2018\/08\/nem.png 674w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/portuguese\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2018\/08\/nem-350x65.png 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 674px) 100vw, 674px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>NEM UM (a)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> &#8211; not one, not even or not a single one. It indicates quantity and can be used for emphasis, to indicate frustration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>NENHUM (a)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> &#8211; no or none, expresses total absence, the inexistence of something. Nenhum is the opposite of some and very close in meaning to nothing. It is used more frequently in our language.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Either way, nem um and nenhum bring a negative connotation to a sentence.
