Hello to all! Como voc\u00eas t\u00eam passado? How have you been doing?<\/p>\n<p>As Portuguese learners, it is likely that some of you have considered the possibility of coming to Brazil someday. Some of you might even be already. If so, what is it like? Based on this curiosity,\u00a0I have conducted a series of short interviews with foreign colleagues who decided to start their lives here and asked them to share their opinions and impressions of the country. Some of them have recently moved, others have lived here for over ten years. What matters is each story is unique yet very informative on what it is like being here. Eu tinha acabado de estar na Col\u00f4mbia por dois anos, fui para casa por um m\u00eas e, de repente, estava em outro pa\u00eds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>(<strong>What was the most challenging aspect about your coming to Brazil?\u00a0<\/strong>Other than the language, I think it was adjusting to a new place again. I had just been in Colombia for 2 years, went home for a month, and then suddenly I was in another country. )<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>2) Qual \u00e9 o seu processo de aprendizado em portugu\u00eas?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At\u00e9 agora todos foram muito gentis comigo e entenderam que sou iniciante. Eu tenho tido aulas na escola em que trabalho. Tamb\u00e9m ajuda que meus sogros n\u00e3o falam ingl\u00eas, ent\u00e3o eu tenho que aprender a me comunicar com eles. Estranhos tamb\u00e9m gostam de falar comigo enquanto estou esperando no ponto de \u00f4nibus!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>(<strong>What is your Portuguese learning process?<\/strong>\u00a0So far everyone has been really kind to me and have understood that I&#8217;m a beginner.\u00a0I have been taking lessons at the school I work at. It also helps my in-laws don&#8217;t speak any English, so I have to learn how to communicate with them. Strangers also like to talk to me sometimes while I&#8217;m waiting at the bus stop! )<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>3) Do que voc\u00ea mais gosta no pa\u00eds?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A comida! Tudo \u00e9 t\u00e3o fresco. Adoro ir a sacol\u00f5es e ver o que h\u00e1 de novo. Ah e churrasco e a\u00e7a\u00ed &#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>(<strong>What do you like the most about the country?\u00a0<\/strong>The food! Everything is so fresh. I love going to sacal\u00e3os and seeing what&#8217;s new. Oh and churrasco and a\u00e7ai&#8230;)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>4) O que voc\u00ea acha dos brasileiros at\u00e9 agora?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eles me parecem pessoas calorosas e amig\u00e1veis que s\u00e3o pr\u00f3ximos de suas fam\u00edlias. Os almo\u00e7os de domingo com os parentes s\u00e3o os melhores :). Eles tamb\u00e9m t\u00eam um senso de humor engra\u00e7ado.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>(<strong>How do Brazilians strike you so far?<\/strong>\u00a0They strike me as warm and friendly people who are close to their families.
