Let me ask you something: do you like <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">comidas saborosas, lazer, serras e praias<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">appetizing food, leisure, mountains and beaches)? So do we! And today, returning to our series about <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">estados brasileiros<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Brazilian states), we will talk about this hidden gem located in the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">sudeste do pa\u00eds<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">southeast of the country), which is often overlooked by the tourist glamour of other regions, yet leaves nothing to be desired. Even its capital, Vit\u00f3ria, is found on one of these islands, with access to the mainland through several <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">pontes<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (bridges). Let\u2019s learn more about this <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">lugar<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (place)?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Known for housing one of the largest <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">mineradoras<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">mining companies) in the world, <\/span><b>Esp\u00edrito Santo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> goes beyond industrial <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">paisagens<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (landscapes) and shelters paradisiacal destinations, and the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">culin\u00e1ria capixaba<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (capixaba cuisine) &#8211; as people born in the state are called &#8211; is hugely focused on fresh tropical products and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">frutos do mar <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(seafood). It&#8217;s time to work out an appetite and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ficar com \u00e1gua na boca<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (make everyone&#8217;s mouth water)! Calm down, we&#8217;ll be listing some must-dos! If you want shift your attention off the coast, go to Pedra Azul, to the Matilde <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">cachoeiras <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(waterfalls) or Pedra roxa and to Pico da Bandeira, the third largest mountain in Brazil. All these places are located within 200 km from Vit\u00f3ria. But if a spiritual retreat is what you are searching, be sure to stop by the Zen monastery Morro da Vargem, just over 50 km from the capital.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Now, if you are into the seaside, Trindade Island is one of the most stunning in the country, and don\u2019t forget to make your way to the wonderful <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">fal\u00e9sias<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (cliffs) of Marata\u00edzes, the priests\u2019 beach in Guarapari, or the dunes and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">mangues<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (mangroves) of Ita\u00fanas, in the north.
