However, during a<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> viagem<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (trip), we can be either in a hurry or maybe not even hungry enough to sit down for a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">refei\u00e7\u00e3o completa<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (full meal). A slice of pizza, a kebab or even a croissant would do. All we want is to grab a quick bite on the move to carry on with our plans. And Brazil is quite the place for that! If you want to find out a little more about these everyday snacks, keep on reading. In today&#8217;s text, we will go over about the beloved Brazilian <\/span><b>salgadinhos<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Found from<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> norte ao sul<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (north to south), <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><b>salgadinhos<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">are everywhere in Brazil. Immensely popular at <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">festas de anivers\u00e1rio<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (birthday parties), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">padarias<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (bakeries) and (lanchonetes)<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> snack bars<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, you can find traditional versions or even more gourmet variations. The <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">coxinha<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is made from a wheat-based <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">massa <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(dough), then breaded and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">frita<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (fried), and its most common filling is <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">frango desfiado<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (shredded chicken) or chicken and catupiry (a type of cream cheese). Different takes on this delicacy have become popular lately, and now vegetarian fillings are available or even one with a whole drumstick inside! The <\/span><b>recheios<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (fillings) for these treasured mini-pies are many, ranging from <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">camar\u00e3o<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (shrimp), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">palmito<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (heart of palm), chicken or <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">carne seca<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (dried meat), all wrapped in a delicate shortcrust pastry. It is worth saying that, despite not being deep-fried, these babies are quite wholesome, so take it easy and don&#8217;t overdo it!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><b>Enroladinho<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Found in both fried or <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">assado <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(baked) versions, the most widespread <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">enroladinhos (Portuguese for <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">rolls) are sausage or <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">presunto e queijo<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (ham and cheese). The fried dough resembles the one found in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">coxinha<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, though its baked variety can be quite different and more reminiscent of a very soft and fluffy p\u00e3o (bread). The crust is <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">fina <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(thin), crisp and covered in air bubbles and its fillings can get a bit creative with <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">carne mo\u00edda<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (ground beef) being a favorite. If you head to any <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">feira <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(farmer\u2019s market), you are sure to come across a stall selling this treat (usually with some salsa on the side for added flavour)! Its ingredients includes <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">batatas<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (potatoes), cod fish and many fresh herbs. The <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">quibe<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is made with<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> triguilho<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (Bulgur wheat), ground beef and fresh herbs such as<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> hortel\u00e3 e salsinha<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (mint and parsley).
