It shares <\/span>fronteiras<\/span><\/i> (borders) not only with the other two federative units in the south of the country, but also with Argentina and the Atlantic Ocean. As for tourism, three destinations are the most popular when visiting the state. The first is the region located in the Santa Catarina <\/span>interior <\/span><\/i>(countryside), known as the European Valley. Comprising 12 municipalities, this is the best option for those who want to rest in the peacefulness of small towns and also enjoy <\/span>a natureza <\/span><\/i>(nature). For those who like <\/span>do mar (<\/span><\/i>the sea), you will likely be charmed by the <\/span>beleza<\/span><\/i> (beauty) of two of the most breathtaking Brazilian <\/span>cidades litor\u00e2neas <\/span><\/i>(<\/span>coastal cities): the island of Florian\u00f3polis and Balne\u00e1rio Cambori\u00fa.<\/span> Amantes de cerveja<\/span><\/i> (beer lovers) can also have a good time in Santa Catarina. Every year in October, the city of Blumenau holds the Oktoberfest much like in Munich<\/span><\/p>\n
